Lifetime Risk of developing Breast Cancer. What does it mean?
When talking of a lifetime risk for women of developing breast cancer, it can be confusing. Many women over-estimate their risk and it is important to put it into perspective. Put quite simply, the older you get the greater the risk.
The following figures are from the Cancer Research Campaign (now Cancer Research UK ) (CRC 1999)
