Breast Cancer Risk Lifetime Risk of developing Breast Cancer. What does it mean? When talking of a lifetime risk for women of developing breast cancer, it can be confusing. Many women over-estimate their risk and it is important to put it into perspective. Put quite simply, the older you get the greater the risk. The following figures are from the Cancer Research Campaign (now Cancer Research UK ) (CRC 1999) Risk up to age Estimated Risk 20 1 in 43,899 30 1 in 2,165 40 1 in 220 50 1 in 56 60 1 in 25 70 1 in 16 80 1 in 12 85 1 in 11 These data represent the overall estimated risk for all women at these ages and include those with a family history of breast cancer.

OTHER TESTIMONIALS “When you came to see me nearly a year ago, I was very receptive to your offers of help. But I could have no idea how much Cancerkin would do for me over this difficult year.” Gillian |
