High Risk Cancer Genetic Clinic at the Cancerkin Centre
This clinic caters for individuals who have a strong family history of cancer. The aim of the cancer genetic service is to provide individuals with information on their genetic risks based on family history, the advantages and disadvantages of genetic testing and the individual’s cancer screening options. The consultant or genetic counsellor provides a face-to-face consultation in a friendly, comfortable environment with the aim to help the individual to make personal decisions about genetic testing.
The high-risk cancer genetic clinic accepts referrals from both GPs and breast surgeons.
