Cancerkin's 20th Anniversary
£1 Million Appeal
2007 was a significant year for Cancerkin as we celebrated 20 years since our foundation in 1987.
To mark the event, in April, a reception was held at Goldsmiths' Hall where we launched our £1million Anniversary Appeal.
Funding is urgently sought to enable our ongoing services to continue and develop as the demand for our services increases yearly. Every pound raised depends on the commitment and generosity of our supporters and donors as no funds for our services are received from the NHS or other statutory bodies.
£310,000 is needed to purchase state-of-the-art diagnostic and research equipment (which is outside the scope of NHS provision) for immediate use at the Royal Free Hospital.
£350,000 must be secured to enable Cancerkin to continue to provide lymphoedema treatment in its specialist clinic and to continue to develop our supportive care and rehabilitation services over the next two years.
£340,000 needs to be raised to produce our information literature and to present lectures, courses and seminars on breast cancer and associated problems in the years to come.
