Volunteer

Make a real difference to people whose life has been affected by breast cancer and volunteer your time and talents.

Volunteers play an extremely important role in Cancerkin.

Our Lymphoedema Clinic is staffed by highly qualified therapists supported by a team of volunteers who welcome the patients and deal with all the administrative aspects of the clinic.  If you are able to give up half a day a week on a regular basis for this important service we would love to hear from you.

Our One to One Support Service is entirely dependent on volunteers who have experienced breast cancer and are happy to give time and support to those who are newly diagnosed. If you are interested in this work we will ensure that you have excellent training and ongoing support and supervision through our Volunteer Visitor training programme.

We are always on the look out for people to help with our fundraising events. We may need help at the event itself or with the administration before and afterwards.  This may give you the opportunity to attend one of our wonderful occasions and use your people skills in welcoming people or persuading them to buy a raffle ticket, or you may prefer to be part of the team that works behind the scenes to bring off another memorable fundraising success.

If you get more off a buzz by organising something yourself please let us know what you have in mind and we will do all we can to help.

If you are interested in any of these opportunities please contact us. We will be so pleased to hear from you.

OTHER TESTIMONIALS
“When you came to see me nearly a year ago, I was very receptive to your offers of help. But I could have no idea how much Cancerkin would do for me over this difficult year.”
