Chat rooms and forums
The chat rooms and forums (known as the 'community areas') are open to anyone aged 16 or over. Please note that if you choose to disclose personal information in these areas you are consenting to its potentially unrestricted distribution over the Internet.
When you register with us you will be given the option to allow others to view your email address whenever you post to our bulletin board. The default option will prevent this, but you can choose to reveal it. Once your email address is made public on the board, it may be accessible from countries that do not have data protection laws. If you are in any doubt, keep your email hidden.
Cancerkin cannot be held responsible for information you chose to reveal in the community areas.
Moderation and abuse
Cancerkin can take no responsibility for the opinions expressed in the community areas. However, the boards are monitored for abusive, racist or otherwise offensive material, which will be removed.
In using the community areas, you consent that all material posted there becomes the property of Cancerkin . Cancerkin reserves the right to block any user access to the community areas if such action is deemed necessary. If you want to report abuse of the boards, please email mailto:cancerkin@medsch.ucl.ac.uk. Cancerkin also reserves the right to remove any post without notice.
Children
Although we aim to make our information as widely available as possible, due to the nature of the discussions we actively discourage children under the age of 16 from participating in the community areas.
