Lymphoedema Clinic

A small minority of people who have been treated for breast cancer might, at some time, develop lymphoedema – swelling of the arm.

Experience has shown that patients who observe a few simple, common sense guidelines can do much to reduce the already small risk.

Information on avoiding lymphoedema and on caring for your arm is available by clicking the links.

In the unlikely event of being affected, patients may be referred by their hospital consultant for specialist treatment at the Cancerkin Lymphoedema Clinic.

Referral to the Lymphoedema Clinic is by hospital specialist referral only. The referral form can be downloaded here but has to be completed and signed by your hospital consultant.

Cancerkin’s complementary caring services are available to patients with breast cancer, free of charge for a series of sessions, regardless of where they have been treated.
